Thomas Rueben Dempsey, 70, of Haskell passed away Jan. 8.  He was born Feb. 7, 1942 in Marked Tree to the late S.L. and Berdie Harbison Dempsey.  
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Emma Jean Moody.

Jeremy Lynn Stamper

Jeremy Lynn Stamper, 35, passed away on Jan. 5. Jeremy was born on June 20, 1977, in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Jeremy was a district sales manager for Sysco Foods in Little Rock.  He loved spending time with his children and was a huge sports fan.
Jeremy loved the Razorbacks and sky diving. He played coed softball and coached baseball for the East End Express. He loved the Lord and his family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Rowland; and a niece, Miryah Rowland.

Joyce Sluder

Joyce Sluder, 59, of Benton passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8. She was born Dec., 22, 1953 in Little Rock.
Joyce was a 1972 graduate of Benton High School. She was employed as a cashier at Razorback Car Wash for three years and a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, where she was the pianist.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Juanita Chambers.

Robert Edward Lattin Sr.

Robert Edward Lattin Sr., 62, of Alexander passed away Monday, Jan. 7.  He was born Jan., 14, 1950 in Bauxite.
Mr. Lattin was a U.S. Army veteran and later retired from the Reserve.  He also retired from Granite Mt. Rock Quarry as a heavy equipment operator.  Mr. Lattin was active with the Masons for several years. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Deaton and Annie Lois (Jones) Lattin; three sisters; and one brother.

Peter Crook Gray

Peter Crook Gray, 46, of Little Rock passed away Jan. 7. He was born March 27, 1966 in Sacramento, Calif., to Tomps and Barbara Crook Gray.
Peter conducted sales and marketing for several Arkansas-based companies.  He served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve and Arkansas Army National Guard at several duty stations as a combat medical specialist, infantryman, and instructor.  He graduated from Calvary Christian Academy in Little Rock and attended University of Arkansas at Little Rock. His interests included art, golf, Razorback football and basketball, music, reading and animals.

Louise 'Lucy' Reid

Louise “Lucy” Reid, 73, of Haskell, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8.  She was born De 31, 1939 in Russellville.
Mrs. Reid retired from the Harmony Grove School District and was a member of Mt. Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dolan and Viva Johnson; and a grandson, William Lee Hall Jr.
She is survived by her best friend and husband of 52 years, Troy D. Reid of Haskell; a son, Kevin Reid of Bentonville; a daughter, Karla Hall of Haskell; and six grandchildren, Jeremy Hall, Natalie Hall, Catherine Reid, Zachary Reid, Kelsie Cox and Evan Cox.

Zachary 'Zach' Ryan Bynum

Zachary “Zach” Ryan Bynum, 18, of Bauxite went to be with the Lord Jan. 7. 
Zach was born in Little Rock, Ark., on Oct. 17, 1994, to Karla Marina and Dewayne Bynum.
He was a senior at Bauxite High School and a member of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church.
Zach was a strong-willed, quick-witted, fun-loving young man. He was a momma’s boy and was always playing with her hair.
He loved playing video games, hanging out with his friends, rapping, eating hot wings and making everyone laugh.

Marcelee Cooper

Marcelee Cooper, 85, of Jacksonville, formerly of Bauxite, passed away on Jan. 7. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville and the Faith Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Cooper was a retired Southern Baptist minister’s wife and a homemaker. She spent more then 40 years serving alongside her husband and in many capacities of ministry in several churches around Arkansas, including Almyra Baptist Church and Wilson First Baptist Church, where she taught women in Sunday School, led the Women’s Missionary Union, and sang in the church choir.

Pearl Marie Williams Nickels

Pearl Marie Williams Nickels, 88, of Benton, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 7.  She was born Dec. 9, 1924 in Texas. 
Mrs.. Nickels was preceded in death by her parents of Corpus Christie, Texas; and her son, Daniel B. Nickels Jr. of Louisiana.

Woody Eugene Putman

Woody Eugene Putman, 56, of Mabelvale, left this life down here on Saturday, Jan. 5.  He was born Aug. 28, 1956, to Woody A. and Beulah M. Putman of Bauxite.
Mr. Putman was a forklift operator at Reynolds Metals in Bauxite.
He was predeceased by his sister, Linda Darlene Putman.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Leslie West Putman and Troy Eugene Putman and wife Kim, all of Benton; two sisters, Shirley Miller of Benton and Rebecca Bolding of Bryant; and two grandchildren, Salina Putman and Spencer Levi Putman.
