The Benton Lady Panther golf team finished as conference runner-up and fourth in state after a two-day tournament.
On the first day, Grace Lile shot an 89, Karli Lipinski shot a 104, Daphne Bono shot a 119, Kayla Payne shot a 104, Kaylen Presnall shot a 117 and Benton’s team total was a 297.
The first day round total was good enough for a second place finish in conference behind conference champion El Dorado, who shot a 289 as a team.
On the second day, Lile shot a 85, Lipinski shot a 89, and Payne shot a 95.
After missing out on the 7A girls state golf championships final round on Tuesday, the Bryant Lady Hornets’ golf team had two players golfing as individuals.
The Lady Hornets came in sixth place out of 10 teams on Monday in the championship’s opening round, and the top five teams advanced to the final round.
Sophomore Peyton Weaver shot a 15-over 86 on Tuesday after scoring an 85 on Monday. She finished ninth overall with her 171 and earned all-state honors.
