Harmony Grove continued their quest to another conference title on Tuesday when they played host to Cutter Morning Star. Unfortunately, only one team was to show up against the Eagles.
The Lady Cardinals started the night for Harmony Grove and on a very high note, especially for their confidence, beating the Lady Eagles 45-32 to get to 2-4 in conference play.
The Lady Cardinals opened the first quarter with a 16-4 run heading into the second, thanks big in part to their senior leadership who had 10 of the first quarter points for the Lady Cardinals.
The Bauxite Lady Miners held the Pulaski Robinson Lady Senators to six points in the second half in defeating them 48-24 in 7-4A conference action on Tuesday at Fred Dawson Gym in Bauxite.
“Defensively, I didn’t think we played bad,” Bauxite Coach Josh Harrison said. “We were out of position a few times, especially in the press. I thought we did a pretty decent job of scrambling and hustling defensively. Out of the press, we had some people out of position and a few people not rotating quick enough. They got a few deep passes and some easy shots there early.”
