BRYANT â€“ Three Bryant football players signed college letters of intent Wednesday on National Signing Day, but delayed their party until Friday.
â€śThese guys are smart,â€ť Bryant coach Paul Calley said. â€śThey came to me and asked if they could have their party on Friday, so all of the media would come out.â€ť
Receiver/defensive back Dillion Winfrey signed with Central Arkansas, linebacker Marshall Everett inked with Arkansas-Monticello and running back Karon Dismuke signed with Southern Arkansas.
BRYANT â€“ Bryant Lady Hornetsâ€™ senior distance runner Ashlyn Lessenberry had a decent idea where she wanted to go to college when she found out where her best friend was going to play softball. Lessenberry is following her friend, Kayla Sory, to Henderson State University as she signed a letter of intent to run for the Lady Reddies in the Bryant Gym on Wednesday morning.
BAUXITE â€“ Bauxite Minersâ€™ senior lineman Matt Steele signed with the Southern Arkansas University Muleriders out of Magnolia, Ark., on Wednesday morning in the Bauxite High School auditorium.
â€śI think itâ€™s awesome,â€ť Bauxite Coach Shane Clancy said. â€śItâ€™s something heâ€™s talked about doing since the eighth grade.
