County unveils maps detailing potential liquor store areas

December 15, 2014

Under the guidance of Gary Ballard, the Saline County Assessor’s office has released an unofficial map of locations where liquor stores could be placed in Saline County.

The map details where churches and schools are located and the 1,000-foot radius that prevents a liquor store from being placed.

According to the map, the best possible locations for liquor stores will be along Military Road in Benton.

Twenty-one liquor stores could soon be a reality for the county since voters decided to turn the county wet during November’s general election.
