Bank facility purchase aimed at UALR expansion

Benton School Board has paved the way for UALR-Benton Center to expand its facilities by the board's vote Monday night to purchase First Security Bank's downtown facility for a new central administration office.
The board voted 4-2 for an agreement to purchase the bank facility for housing the district's central administration facilities.

Suspect being sought in murder case

Saline County Sheriff's department is seeking information related to the whereabouts of Danny Wayne Stalnaker.

On 6/17/2012 at approximately 12:45 A.M., Traskwood Officer responded to the Saline River for an unconscious person. The Officer found the victim, Christopher Patterson, W/M 35 YOA, lying on the ground with blood on his head. He was transported to the hospital, where it was determined he was suffering from blunt force trauma to the head. He was rushed into surgery. and later died from his injuries.

Watching the newscasts of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee celebration, I'm once again reminded of the similarities between the British monarch and my mother.
Though I could address several factors to illustrate the comparison, the most obvious one is the queen's purse.

Queen Elizabeth always carries a pocketbook. It may be of natural straw, patent leather, black velvet, satin brocade or the finest lace, but the style never changes. It's a double-strapped handbag that opens like a book and closes with a clasp in the center.
