Betty K. Powell

Betty K. Powell, 75, of Bryant, passed away on Oct. 22, 2014. She was born on July 25, 1939 to Kermit and Lessie Green. 
Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years, Tommy Powell. She also is survived by one daughter, Debbie Robinson; two sons, Gary Powell and Neil Powell; grandchildren, Josh, Erin and Justin; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Ian and Ireland; sisters, Sara May and Dorothy Powell; brother, Billy Joe Green and a host of family and friends.
Betty enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family especially with her grandkids.

Horace Isdora Lovell

Horace Isdora Lovell, 88 of Benton, passed away Oct. 23, 2014.  He was born Feb. 28, 1926 in Saline County to the late Newton and Dorie Harris Lovell. Horace attended First Presbyterian Church of Benton and served in the United States Navy. He worked and retired from Benton Services Center as an LPTN.
Horace was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jack and Franklin Lovell and sister, Elizabeth Gaston.

Aurther “Art” Lee Carpenter

Aurther “Art” Lee Carpenter, 72, of Benton, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014. He was born on June 1, 1942 in Hot Springs, to Vernice and Mrytle Sanders Carpenter.
He was a devoted family man who enjoyed making mosaics, working in the yard and restoring old cars, but shared his lifelong passion for horses and raised Foxtrotters with his adoring wife.
Mr. Carpenter is preceded in death by his parents.

Raymond Otho Bermingham

Raymond Otho Bermingham, 79, of Bauxite, passed away Oct. 22, 2014. Raymond was born March 9, 1935 in Bauxite. Raymond was a member of the Air Force National Guard. He was a pressman for the Benton Courier for more than 30 years.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Patterson Bermingham and parents, Shelby and Bertha Bermingham.
