Maudie Ann Ramsey Udey

Maudie Ann Ramsey Udey went home on July 11, 2014. She was born in Nashville, TN on March 19, 1915 to Manuel and Ida Hendrix Ramsey. Maudie was in the first graduating class of Bryant High School and served as Salutatorian. She attended nursing school to become a LPTN and went to work at Benton State Hospital in 1950. She retired in 1977 with 27 years of service.
Maudie loved her family, church, and never met a stranger. She was always proud to tell her age, that she took no medicines, and always shared her faith.

James Edward “Jim” Ligon

James Edward “Jim” Ligon, 88, of Benton, passed away into the arms of the Lord early Sunday, July 13, 2014, after a brief illness. He was born May 19, 1926, in Yazoo City, MS to the late Fred and Rosa Ligon. He was a retired mechanical contractor, owner of Ligon Plumbing & Heating Co., past president of the Arkansas Mechanical Contractors Association, and a member of First Baptist Church-Benton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-six years, Jean (Roberson) Ligon.

Dorothy Jean Cox

Dorothy Jean Cox went to be with the Lord July 13, 2014. She was born October 15, 1930 to the late Argie and Una Adams. She was a home maker, had been a Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout leader, poll worker. She grew up a Methodist but as an adult attended the Church of Christ.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Clisty Cox, her brothers and sisters, Jackie Adams, Dick Adams, Eddie Adams, Sallie McGhee and Barbara Hunt and son-in-law, Rocky Denison.
