Benton â€“ The Saline County flu clinic scheduled for Oct. 24, 2014 at Holland Chapel in Benton has been postponed due to a delay in shipment from the flu vaccineâ€™s distributor. The new flu clinic date will be announced as soon as it is rescheduled.
The Arkansas Department of Health recommends getting the flu vaccine wherever it is available (pharmacies, other health care providers). It is very important for pregnant women to get their flu shot. Individuals wishing to get a flu vaccine at the Saline County Health Unit should call 501-303-5650 to ensure the vaccine is available.
Ola Mae Burrows, 78, of Bryant died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014.
She was born Oct.16, 1935, in Havana, Ark., to the late Floyd William Allen and Gladys B. Capps.
Mrs. Burrows was a homemaker and a member of Grace Church of Bryant.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Bobby â€śDoyleâ€ť Burrows; and a sister, Johnnie McCain.
Brian Allan Rowe, 46, passed away Sept. 9, 2014. He was born in Little Rock on July 27, 1968, to John and Wanda Rowe and lived most of his life in Bryant.
He was preceded in death by his father, John D. Rowe Sr.; a sister, Betty Dianne Smith; and a brother, Kenneth A Smith.
He is survived by his wife, April; a son, Austin; a daughter, Trinity; his mother, Wanda Rowe; a brother, John D. Rowe Jr.; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
