During the regularly scheduled Benton School Board meeting Monday night, Karla Neathery, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, presented the district's annual report for the 2013-14 school year.
Neathery said it has been a "very successful year" and the district is proud of its accomplishments.
Beginning today, students at Bryant High School will be participating in the Celebrate My Drive nationwide campaign. During this campaign, anyone 14 and older is encouraged to make a commitment to use safe driving habits.
"It's a community celebration of safe driving habits emphasizing the benefits of safe choices as teens celebrate the freedom that comes with getting a driver's license," said Devin Sherrill, Bryant School District communications director.

Benton â€“ The Saline County flu clinic scheduled for Oct. 24, 2014 at Holland Chapel in Benton has been postponed due to a delay in shipment from the flu vaccineâ€™s distributor. The new flu clinic date will be announced as soon as it is rescheduled.
The Arkansas Department of Health recommends getting the flu vaccine wherever it is available (pharmacies, other health care providers). It is very important for pregnant women to get their flu shot. Individuals wishing to get a flu vaccine at the Saline County Health Unit should call 501-303-5650 to ensure the vaccine is available.
