Veloria C. "Vee" Moore, 84, of Benton passed away May 26, 2014, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock.Â
She was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church and Bryant Senior Wellness and Activity Center.
Vee is survived by her husband, Dan Moore; her children, Sandy Haney (Johnny), Ray Martin (Becky), and Andrea McBryde (Michael); three stepchildren; two grandchildren and several great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no memorial service. Cremation services are by Cremations of Arkansas.
A man and woman were charged with felony battery after their neighbor reported they were fighting.
When officers responded to South Third Street, Lea Fletcher, 23, of Benton told them that Richard Isenhower, 34, also of Benton, had become aggressive with her. He allegedly struck her, strangled her and pushed her to the ground, according to the police report.
Fletcher allegedly fought back and Isenhower suffered facial scratches, a bite mark on the inside of his mouth and a bite mark on his left shoulder, according to the report.
Organizers have announced the lineup for the third annual Amplify Christian Music Festival set for Aug. 29-30.
The festival will take place on the grounds of Holland Chapel Baptist Church in Benton and will feature some of the top contemporary Christian music artists including Jeremy Camp, Big Daddy Weave, Sanctus Real, Jason Gray, Rhett Walker Band, Citizen Way, MIKESCHAIR, The Museum, Drew Cline, Spencer Lloyd, who competed in this season's "American Idol," and others.
