City mourns the passing of Mrs. Florrie Lyle, age 100

Florrie Deen Wakenight Lyle saw a century of change in her full life.
The retired Benton teacher, who was in her 101st year, died Tuesday, March 4, at Saline Memorial Hospital.

Golden Crow Bragg

Golden Crow Bragg, 96, of Benton passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at her home. She was born June 27, 1917, in Paron.
Golden was a housewife and a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Artie Johnson Crow; her husband, Harold Bragg; a son, Robert “Bud” Bragg; a brother, Robert Crow and wife Margaret; and a brother-in-law, Hugh Bragg.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Bettye Bragg; two nephews, Hugh Davis and Robert Crow Jr.; nieces, Betty Callahan and Bonnie Reynolds; and 10 great-nieces and nephews.
