Ross, Hutchinson positive ads total $1.7 million

LITTLE ROCK — Key figures from The Center for Public Integrity's look at television advertising in races for state offices in Arkansas. The dollar amounts are for advertising that aired prior to Sept. 8, not future commercial buys, and does not include production costs.

GOVERNOR:

Asa Hutchinson (R)
Ran 3,000 positive ads at a cost of $1.1 million
Ran 418 ads that had a mix of positive and negative messages at a cost of $191,600

Mike Ross (D)
Ran 1,810 positive ads at a cost of $605,900
Ran 188 negative ads at a cost of $80,700

Little Rock to stream police dispatches on Web

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas' capital city will begin streaming time-delayed police dispatches online next month after police this summer blocked access to their radio communications.

The computer-automated dispatches will be posted starting Oct. 1 on the city of Little Rock's website 30 minutes after they occur and will be available for eight hours, the media reported.
