Band of robbers receive 20-year sentences

After pleading guilty to robbery charges, five people have been sentenced to 20-year terms with the Arkansas Department of Correction.
Ryan Walker of Mabelvale, Kristen Gay of Alexander, Steven Williams, Marcus Whitaker and Justin Ray, all of Benton, were involved in three robbery incidents, authorities said.
During an incident on Oct. 14, 2013, Walker held a man at gunpoint while Walker and Whitaker stole items from a victim and Gay waited in a vehicle outside a residence.

Una Grace Dacus

Una Grace Dacus, 82, of Benton passed away Sept. 5, 2014. 
She was born Sept. 4, 1932, in Little Rock to the late Jeff and Violet Bennett Moore.
Una was a member of Rose Hill Nazarene Church in Little Rock.
She is survived by a son, Michael Dacus of Benton; two daughters, Karen Ellis of Benton and Kayla Davis of Bryant; four grandchildren, Josh and Zach Griffin of Benton, Jessica Husman of Brandon, Miss., and Jeanna Sanders of Sherwood; and seven great-grandchildren.
