Minnie Lea Green (Minnielee or Minn to her family and friends), 81, of Benton, went to be with her heavenly father on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.Â She was born April 23, 1932, in Bruno, the only girl of three children, to her parents, Roy Ferdinand and Vera Myrtle Oglesby.
An overturned tanker truck on Arkansas 5 caused a loss of electrical power for many residents this morning.
A truck filled with gasoline overturned on the roadway and struck a utility pole. Because of safety concerns and damage to the pole, the electricity was shut off in the area, according to Benton Utilities.
The power reportedly is expected to be out for about five hours. Residents affected include those living on Kenwood Road west of Highway 5 South, some people living on McCurdy and all of Wellington Pointe subdivision.
