Nancy Louise Wilkerson, age 81, of East End, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014.  She was born February 3, 1933 in Sardis.   Mrs. Wilkerson was a homemaker and a life-long member of Sardis United Methodist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Beatrice Cloud; husband, Eugene Wilkerson; daughter, Regina Sites and a brother, Bitsy Cloud.

Judith Smith Mobley

Judith Smith Mobley, 70, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Newton, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014. Judy was an accomplished quilt maker, recognized not only for her ideas and talents, but for the passion she displayed in her creations. Most importantly, she was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by her family and others who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents,Elasta and Rosalie Smith and brothers, Gary Smith and Douglas Smith.

Harvey Odell Puryear

Harvey Odell Puryear, 70, of Haskell passed away peacefully on June 26, 2014, with his family by his side, after a long battle to survive as a stroke victim.
Odell was born July 6, 1943, to Vernard and Laura Puryear of Bryant.
He was preceded in death by his father, V.H. Puryear; his beloved mother, Anna Laura Elizabeth “Sister Baby Balch” Puryear; and a devoted brother, Steve Puryear.

Richard Lem Henson Sr.

Richard Lem Henson Sr., 76, of Benton passed away on July 16, 2014.
He was born April 29, 1938, in Little Rock to the late Woodrow and Fannie Hartzler Henson.
Richard was respected for his character, for doing what he said he would do and for being a man of his word. 
He served as a Naval aircraft mechanic on the USS Lake Champlain in the late 1950s. Stops at St. John’s Newfoundland, the Azores Islands and ports of call in the Mediterranean were highlights of his career in the Navy.
Richard worked as a salesman for a Sav-A-Stop for many years.
