George Henry Edward Reeves, 72, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014. He was born July 11, 1942 in Lonoke. George was the owner of Reeves Used Cars in Benton and a United States Army veteran. George was well loved and respected by many in the Benton area and will be greatly missed. George was always a man of his word â€” if he told you he would do something, he did it. He loved playing golf and spending time with his family.
Herbert Louis Wilson, 83, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Wednesday, Dec.17, 2014 at Christian Care Center in Springfield, Tennessee.Â Mr. Wilson was born April 7, 1931 in Rose Bud to the late Clarence and Stella Kerr Wilson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church Joelton and was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Korean War.Â He was an accountant, locksmithÂ and employed with the Arkansas Department of Corrections as a maintenance supervisor.Â In his spare time, he loved to paint and write.
The Saline County Sheriffâ€™s Office has arrested two people in connection with several BB gun incidents reported last weekend.
Brent Reeves,18, of Alexander and a juvenile have been charged with several counts of criminal mischief and aggravated assault for allegedly shooting residentsâ€™ property, said Lt. Scott Courtney, Saline County Sheriffâ€™s Office spokesperson.
If residents have more information about these incidents or have property that was damaged by a BB gun, they are encouraged to call their local police department, he said.
