A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for residents of the city of Shannon Hills living in the area located west of Otter Creek to Vimy Ridge Road.
A water main break at the corner of Clayton and Donnie drives is the reason for the boil order, according to David Passmore, public works manager.
As a precaution, all affected customers — an estimated 350 — are advised that the water may be unsafe for human consumption, Passmore said. Water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled briskly for one minute.
