When I referred to them as a group, it was by the moniker "The Magnificent Seven."
This wasn't a band of American gunmen hired to protect a small agricultural village in Mexico from a group of marauding Mexican bandits. Indeed they bore no resemblance to Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, Robert Vaughn, Brad Dexter, and Horst Buchholz, who portrayed the mighty seven in the movie that was actually a western-style remake based on Akira Kurosawa's 1954 Japanese film "Seven Samurai."
Congress is still putting on a circus regarding the sequester. Republicans are saying if we do not not have budget cuts this year, the whole U.S. economy will collapse because of the nation’s enormous indebtedness. The Democrats say economic recovery will be derailed and the automatic cuts of 8 percent for the Pentagon and 5 percent for other programs will compromise our nation’s defense.
One of the boons which have come from the spreading growth of broadband Internet for the public has been the increase and popularity of telecommuting. This is especially true in areas where hour-long commutes to and from work are considered as “short.”
This is especially true here in the Washington, DC area with its thousands of companies spread out of hundreds of square miles. Because of housing prices the closer you live to the District of Columbia, the higher housing cost escalates.
Did you watch the The Bible on the History Channel last Sunday night? If you did, you’re not alone. The premier episodes of the 10-part series draw large ratings for the cable outlet, and they will only get bigger as the series progresses.

Love and proper information are absolutely vital to every human being.
There are good reasons why parents are the primary responsible parties charged with educating a child. In the natural order of things, it is the parents whose duty it is to provide their children with all the necessities.

I don't think the McRib sandwich is that great … In fact, to me, it's kind of gross.Â
From what I've heard, this is a very unpopular stance, but I just can't help it.
We agree with the Benton Advertising and Promotion Commission’s decision to withhold specific tax receipts in its monthly reporting process. Information related to specific sales from individual restaurants, as well as information related to occupancy rates and room rates of specific hotels, is private and should remain that way.
Recently, I found an excellent article written by Charlie Reese, a journalist for the Orlando Sentinel. He had been a journalist for 49 years and this was his last column before he retired.
The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican nor democrat. It defines clearly, who must assume responsibility for the judgments made that affect each one of us every day.
