PREDICTIONS: Bryant rolls, Bauxite gets win over rival

September 12, 2014

Week 1 of high school football in Saline County was pretty good. Of course, with the Salt Bowl at the top of the list, how could the week be bad? Not to mention it was the greatest Salt Bowl in recent memory with Benton snapping Bryant’s eight-game winning streak, pulling to a 14-14 final.

Harmony Grove won its fifth straight opener against Poyen while Bauxite and Glen Rose fell victim once again in Week 1 contests.

This week, however, should be much different from a week ago. Blowout after blowout is slated for Week 2. Here are my picks for Week 2 of the season:

John Ginn, treasurer of the club, welcomed members and introduced Panthers Head Coach Scott Neathery.
“How does it feel to come away from the game with Bryant and still be undefeated?” asked Ginn.
