2 suspects arrested in connection with robbery

The Saline County Sheriff's Office has arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery Friday morning at JJ's Truck Stop.

Trent Williams, 23, and Zachary Hattabaugh, 23, both of Malvern, were arrested in Hot Spring County on Friday afternoon, said Lt. Scott Courtney, Saline County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

Williams is accused of entering the store with a pistol and taking an unknown amount of money. Hattabaugh allegedly waited outside the store and drove the "getaway vehicle," Courtney said.

Williams was charged with robbery, kidnapping and three counts of aggravated assault. Hattabaugh was charged with aggravated robbery and unauthorized use of another person's property to facilitate a crime, according to the Saline County Sheriff's Office inmate roster.
