Adolphus J. "Jr." Westbrook, 87, of Haskell, passed away July 26. 
He was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Haskell to the late Dolph and Gertie Sims Westbrook. 
"Jr." was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and served in the Army during World War II.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Dean Westbrook.
Survivors are his wife, Myrtle Westbrook of Haskell; two sons, Johnny Lee Westbrook and wife Patricia, Bobby Lynn Westbrook and wife Ophelia; a daughter, Anita Sue Carter and husband Kevin, all of Haskell; grandchildren, Jeannie Otts and husband Mike, Tracy Westbrook and wife Jenny, Josh Westbrook and wife Monica, Amy Hickson and husband Dustin, Christopher Carter, Nathan Carter, Chad Westbrook, Chasity Westbrook, Kristin Mitchell and husband Mark and Whitney Westbrook; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ashby Funeral  Home. Burial will follow at Graham Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. 
Family comments:  Jr. was a very loving man, who loved his wife, kids and grandkids with all of his heart.  He was very proud to have served his country, earning the Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars.
