Alice 'Punkin' Coleman

Alice “Punkin” Coleman, 61, of Mabelvale went to be with the Lord on Dec. 1, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born Feb. 22, 1952, to the late, James and Allie Gilbert in Little Rock.
Punkin enjoyed singing, spending time with her children and grandchildren and especially her doggie, Sassy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, A. J. Gilbert and Otis Gilbert; and two sisters, Elsie Strickland and Nancy Crews.
Punkin is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Larry Coleman; two daughters, Felecia Nowlin and Tammi King (Chris); three grandsons, Durand, Blake and Craig Lynn DePriest; four granddaughters, Allison, Krista, Emilee and Kendra King; four sisters, Mabel (Leroy), Ellen, Mildred (Ray) and Audurlene (George); a brother, Windy (Laverne); and many family members and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Dial and Dudley Funeral home. Burial will follow at Collegeville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
