Alleta W. Hanks, 85, of Benton died Sunday August 7, 2011 at her home. She was born September 9, 1925 in Dahlgren, Illinois. Alleta was retired and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Edna Garrison, and by her husband of 57 years, Bill Hanks.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Rieben and her significant other, J. S. Frazier, Benton; sisters, Hellen Sailor, and Kate Whipple, both of Illinois; one grandchild.

Funeral services will be 11a.m. Thursday at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson Illinois with burial at Oak Grove in Palestine Illinois.
