Alta Christine Bradbury Salley, 81, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, in Denton, Texas. She was born February 17, 1930 at Benton, to Thomas Franklin and Esther May Pitcock Bradbury. She married Horace Franklin Salley on February 22, 1947 in Benton. Alta was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Carpenter's Chapter, Sherman, Texas. She was a Past Matron and a 50 year member. She was a retired farmer.

She was preceded in death by husband of 50 years, Horace Salley; son, Curtis Joe Salley; grandsons, Ronald and Frank Hamm; 8 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Vera Fahy Salley of Denton, Texas and Wera Salley Worthan and husband Don of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Paul Hamm of Irving, Texas; Salley Knox of Gilmer, Texas; Jessica Lara of Denton, Texas; John Knox of Azle, Texas; 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas.

A private burial will follow at Vittitoe Cemetery in Grayson County, Texas.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
