Alvis L. “Pete” Wise

Alvis L. “Pete” Wise, 83, of Bryant passed away Thursday, Feb. 23.  He was born Aug. 13, 1928, in Bauxite to the late Albert and Mae Reid Wise.
Pete was a member of Northside Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and a grandson, Todd Wise. Upon retiring from Reynolds Metals, he enjoyed 32 years of retirement, trout fishing and camping at Lake DeGray.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years and high school sweetheart, Bartha Daugherty Wise of Bryant; a son, Al Wise and wife Paula of Bryant; a grandson, Andy Wise and wife Lori of Benton; and three great-grandchildren..
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Ashby Funeral Home with Jim Gardner officiating.  Burial will follow at New Rosemont Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northside Church of Christ Building Fund or to a charity of choice.
