The second annual B Town Salt-Bowl-a-Thon is set for Friday, Aug. 9. at Enterprise Lanes in Benton.
Put on this year by the Bryant Area Chamber of Commerce, the event is a gathering of all Saline County residents.
â€śThe idea is for one office to challenge another office or branch in another Saline County town, or for one competitor to challenge another competitor in another town,â€ť said Julie Roltsch, chairman for the event.
Included will be a DJ, food, gift card prizes and music, said Rae Ann Fields, executive director of the chamber. "The day will be a great get-away from the office for fellowship with fellow workers and even friendly competitors."
Bowling will begin at 1 p.m.Â Trophies will be awarded to the individual who scores the highest and also to the first-, second- and third-place teams.
Entry fee is $200 per team. Lane sponsorships for the event are $100 each. The registration form is available online at www.bryantchamber.com under events.

Last yearâ€™s winner was Saline Memorial Hospital. The city of Bryant placed second and the city of Benton placed third.
â€śThis event last year was a lot of high-energy fun," Fields said. "We want to see if we can do that again."
