Benton Police bust two men for child porn

Benton police officers recently arrested two men on child pornography and other related charges for two separate incidents.

In both cases, the men communicated with an investigator posing as a juvenile and shared explicit pictures and information about themselves, said Lt. Kevin Russell, Benton Police Department spokesperson.
Jonathan Ivy, 22, of Arkadelphia was arrested on March 28.

In a separate incident, Richard Washam, 24, of Pine Bluff initiated a meeting with the officer posing as a juvenile and was arrested on May 26 at the arranged meeting spot, Russell said.

Ivy was charged with computer child pornography, pandering or possessing visual or print medium depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, and sexually grooming a child.

Washam was charged with Internet stalking of a child, computer child pornography, pandering or possessing visual or print medium depicting sexually explicit conducting involving a child, and sexually grooming a child.

Washam is an active parolee from the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections.
