Berta 'Ruth' Pinkerton

Berta “Ruth” Pinkerton, 79, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013. She was born Oct. 21, 1934, to Othel Dean Sr. and Levada (Watson) Dean of Benton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edgar Dean and Othel Dean Jr.; and a sister, Alene (Dean) Williams.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie Carson of Alexander, Judy Romine (Don) of Redfield and Debra Dickson (Bob) of Bauxite; five granddaughters and one grandson; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Ruth was retired, having served many years as a professional cook on river tugboats. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, at Huson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Whitley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Huson Funeral Home, 6400 Mabelvale Pike (one block West of 65th Street amd University Avenue), Little Rock, AR 72209.
