Bertha Estella “Doodle” Gartrell

Bertha Estella “Doodle” Gartrell, 91, of Mabelvale, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 23. She was born August 6, 1920 in Pulaski County. She had worked as a butcher at the Southside Meat Market. She was a member of the Vimy Ridge Immanuel Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie J. Gartrell; three sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by sons, Willie (Junior) and wife, Jan Gartrell; Danny Gartrell and Kay Diemer all of Mabelvale; eight grandchildren, Stormy and wife, Jennifer; Dusty and husband, Matt; Rusty; Niki; Dana; Brian; Danielle; Logan; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Charlene Henderson and husband, Burt of Little Rock.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, April 26, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 with Brother Elwin Ollar officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., today, April 25 at the funeral home.
