Betty Jane Hester

Betty Jane Hester, 78, of Paron passed away May 8, 2013.
She was born Sept. 11, 1934, in Warren to Murray and Gladys Watson, and was the youngest of four children. Her early years were spent in Banks before moving to Saline County.
Betty was a retired hairstylist, a telecommunications operator with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and a member of the North Fork Missionary Baptist Church in Paron.
In addition  to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Hester; and her siblings, Jimmy Watson, Louise Greer and Maudine Stroud.
She is survived by her son, Steven Hester and special friend, Linda Asbury, both of Paron; a daughter and son-in-law, Dee Dee and Mike Curtis of Paron, and their children, Chris Curtis of Little Rock and Clay Curtis of Bryant; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 11, at Ashby Funeral Home with Brother Don McCutcheon and Brother Cecil Hyde officiating. Burial will follow at Fowler Cemetery in Paron.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
