Billy Dean Crowson

Billy Dean Crowson, 87, of Benton passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014. 
He was born Dec. 7, 1926, in El Dorado to the late William Farris and Mamie Ashcraft Crowson.
Billy was retired from Reynolds Metals, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a  32nd-degree Mason and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Penny Crowson; his brothers, John Crowson and twin Bobby Crowson; and his sisters, Pearl Buckelew and Evelyn Faye Bledsoe.
He is survived by his son, Danny (Donna) Crowson of Mt. Juliet, Tenn; his daughters, Janis (Ted) Meyer of Mabelvale and Robin Crowson of North Little Rock; his brothers, Dub Crowson and twin brothers Ray and Ralph Crowson, all of Benton; his grandchildren, Daniel Crowson, Zac Meyer, Justin Meyer, Jessica Brimm and Laura Rayburn; and his great-grandchildren, Joselyn, Kailey, Devin, Dhane, Jaden, Dylan, Ava, Anika and Stella.
Serving as pallbearers are Ray Crowson, Ralph Crowson, Jerry Jones, Jimmy Crowson, Dennis Bledsoe and Mike Crowson.
Dub Crowson will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Ashby Funeral Home with the Rev. Walt Garrett officiating.  Burial will follow at New Rosemont Cemetery in Benton.
Vistation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the funeral home.
