Bauxite unable to overcome early deficit E-mail

BAUXITE — The Bauxite Miners were punched in the gut on Wednesday night. After outscoring opponents 34-5 in two games, including a 17-2 win over Pulaski Robinson, the Miners lost 5-4 to the Senators Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the Bauxite FCA Invitational Tournament.

Neathery ready to rebuild Panthers E-mail

Scott Neathery wasted no time jumping into his new job. The former Benton athletic director/transportation director, turned head football coach, was already supervising afternoon workouts with his new team Tuesday afternoon. The Benton School Board approved his hiring Monday night as former coach Steve Quinn shifts to Neathery’s old job, sharing those responsibilities with basketball coach Chris Nail.

Bryant bangs out 15 hits to rout Pine Bluff E-mail

BRYANT — Pine Bluff came to Bryant with hot bats, but the Hornets’ bats were a little hotter Monday night. Bryant erased an early deficit and banged out 15 hits to run past the Zebras 13-2.

Saline softball teams adjust to new mound distance E-mail

Bryant uses late surge to beat Northside E-mail

VAN BUREN — Northside dominated every statistical category. The Lady Bears led for 30 of the game’s 32 minutes.
But in the final 1:21, it was Bryant who made just enough plays to steal a 58-54 win in the 7A-State quarterfinals at Van Buren’s Clair Bates Arena.

so pleased to have my granson player for such great coaches you do not see this
example very much anymore and it is wounderful to see. And I would like to
congradulate them and the players on a great football season you make it a pleasure
