Bobby Carl Spencer

Bobby Carl Spencer, 76, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10.  He was born Sept. 29, 1935, to the late Dennis and Helen (Bryan) Spencer in Benton.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, who loved him dearly.  He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and taking his dogs, DeDe and Gypsy, to the lake.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Spencer, and one sister, Winnie Spencer.
He is survived by his loving wife and companion of more than 31 years, Virginia (Tarkington) Spencer; his children, Rhonda Pilgrem and husband John, Lorrie Green and husband David, Steve Spencer and wife Lisa, Kenneth Goff, Virginia King and husband Mel, Debbie Griffith and husband Bob, and Rex Goff; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Burks and husband Carl of Benton; and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander with the Rev. Curtis Kyle officiating.  Serving as pallbearers will be Rex Goff, Jacob Browning, Steven Goff, Adam Spencer, Danny Lovell, and Michael Browning.  Honorary pallbearers are Bob Griffith, John Crabtree and Curtis Crabtree.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047).
