B.R. McGinty

B.R. McGinty, 79, of Bryant passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, at his home. He was born Dec. 8, 1933.
Mr. McGinty was owner and founder of B. R. McGinty Mechanical Contractors served customers for 48 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War from 1952 to 1957 and was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his precious granddaughter, Amy McGinty Grenier; his parents, Edgar and Era McGinty; his father and "mother in love," Corbet and Velma Dodson; a brother, Charles McGinty; a sister, Claudia Jane Johnson; and a nephew, Jimmy Charles Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Earnestine McGinty; a daughter, Donna Snellings; sons, Wayne McGinty and wife Jerrye, Chuck McGinty and wife Linda; grandchildren, Amanda Newman and husband Brad, Jennifer Russell and husband Justin, Brady Snellings and wife Kellie, Matt McGinty and wife Lyndsy, Jeremy McGinty and wife Jessica and Josh Grenier; great-grandchildren, Lenizie and Lexie Newman, Keegan, Garrett, and Easton Snellings, Ethan McGinty, Carter and Cash Russell, Benaiah Grenier and Bo McGinty.
Funeral is scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.  The Rev. Jeff Williams and Tom Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.
Ashby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Doug Kramer, Justin Kramer, Hal Ferguson, Danniwayne Smith, Todd Wright and Randy Harmon. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Russell, Brady Snellings, Jeremy McGinty, Matt McGinty, Brad Newman and Josh Grenier.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at the funeral home.
