Bryant finishes last at Chapel Golf Course; Conway takes first place

Playing at Nutter’s Chapel Golf Course in Conway, the Bryant Hornets golf team struggled, coming in last place with the Conway Wampus Cats and Cabot Panthers also playing.
“Hopefully we have gotten out the bad round of play,” Bryant coach Keith Dale said. “Most of the team played horribly, but there were some really good performances.”
Conway took first place with a 154, Cabot had a 157 and Bryant followed with a 170. The Bryant Lady Hornets also came in third with a 147. Conway took first with a 124 and Cabot had a 129.
Sophomore Chase Thornton led the Hornets shooting a 2-over 38, followed by junior Tyler Green’s 40. Freshman Nick Canale and junior Aston Green’s each had 46s.
Also, junior Ross Weaver shot a 38, senior Gary Williamson shot a 44 and junior Austin Harmon had a 47.
For the girls, sophomore Peyton Weaver shot an 8-over 44 to lead Bryant. Junior Carley Miller shot a 50 and Savanna Cathey finished with a 53. Freshman Tiffany Robinson added a 59.
