Bryant fire, March 5, 2012

A brush fire broke out in a vacant field behind the Wal Mart store in Bryant at approximately 4 p.m. on Monday, March 5. Two fire trucks and two brush trucks from the Bryant Fire Department responded to the call. One brush truck from the Collegeville Fire Department assisted in fighting the fire. High winds fanned the flames northward toward Arkansas 5. Ryan McCormick of the Bryant Fire Department said the cause of the fire was not determined at the time.
