The Bryant Lady Hornets swept three hard-fought games from the Russellville Lady Cyclones in 7A Central action on Tuesday night in Russellville. The Lady Hornets won 3-0 (26-24, 25-21, 25-23) and it was their second sweep in a row, taking three from Cabot last Thursday .

“The girls decided they wanted to play and continued to play the rest of the night,” Solomon said.
The Lady Cyclones gave the Lady Hornets (4-2, 3-1 7A) all they wanted the rest of the match losing by a combined eight points for the match’s three games and Solomon said her team is having the same problem it has had the past three seasons.
“We’re still working on putting everything together,” she said. “Consistency is our big issue right now.
“We’ll have some great plays, but we’ve yet to play a game without giving our opponetn five, six, seven or eight points in a row,” Solomon continued. “We’re working on it.”
Junior Hannah Rice led the Lady Hornets with 22 assists and 11 digs in the match, while her twin sister, McKenzie, led Bryant with 10 kills and four aces, and contributed seven digs. Junior Alyssa Anderson added nine kills and three aces, and junior Brooke Howell had seven kills.
Senior Lauren Reed had eight digs and senior Taylor West had five digs. Senior Brianna White led Bryant with four blocks.
“We needed another Game 3 win to give us a boost going into our match against Conway on Thursday,” Solomon said. “Conway is always a powerhouse in our conference. They usually finish first every year, often undefeated.”
