Cathryn Elizabeth Brown

Cathryn Elizabeth Brown, 88, of Benton passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, at Heartland Rehab and Care Center.  She was born March 1, 1923 in McCrory to James and Oma Rooks VanLandingham.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Clyde Brown; her parents; a brother, Richard; and a son, Larry Brown.
She is survived by her sister Jewell Howell of McCrory; a brother Leon VanLandingham of Wynne; a daughter, Veronica (Brown) Stracener and son-in-law Richard; her grandchildren, Doug Stracener and wife Cindy, Kristy Fulmer and husband Denton, Angela White and husband Paul, and Kerry Hobbs and husband Jason, all of Benton.
Great-grandchildren surviving include Joshua Denison, Kally Leeman, Katy Stracener, Tiffany Leeman, Olivia Suggs, Zach White, Bret Stracener, Trent White and Jaycee Hobbs. She is also survived by two great-great grandchildren, Braydon Denison and Avery Davenport.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Frank Thurman officiating.  Entombment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home.
