Chad Frederick Clift

Chad Frederick Clift, born Dec. 18, 1976, departed this life on Sunday, March 11, 2012.  He was 35. 
Although Chad was a Benton native and a 1995 Benton graduate, he had spent time living in California, Illinois, and Louisiana.  Additionally, Chad traveled the world during his service in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1995 to 1999.
Chad is survived by his wife, Amanda Biehslich Clift; a son, Cole; and daughters, Emersyn and Tristyn.  He is also survived by his mother, Betty Clift of Covington, La.; his father, Paul Clift of Benton; his stepmother, Kathy Clift of Benton; a brother, Chandler Clift of Benton; his in-laws, Bill and Kay Howard of Lonsdale and Ray Biehslich of Benton. 
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Chad lived each day as if there was no tomorrow and put forth his entire effort into each thing he was involved in.  He was a dedicated Marine, employee at Verizon Wireless, a husband and father.  In his spare time, Chad enjoyed camping, boating, cooking, Razorback football and NASCAR.  He was extremely proud of being an Eagle Scout and enjoyed spending time involving Cole in Scouting.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Boy Scouts of American Pack 53, in care of Jeff McLain, 1106 Allyson, Bryant, AR 72022; or an account that has been set up to benefit his children.  Donations may be made at Bank of the Ozarks in the name of Amanda Clift in care of The Chad Clift Memorial Fund.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton. 
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Ashby Funeral Home. Burial will take place Monday, March 19, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
