Charles Harold Ball

August 3, 2012

Charles Harold Ball, 69, of Benton entered Heaven’s gates on Saturday, July 28.
He was born in El Paso, Texas, on Feb. 7, 1943.  He graduated from Central High School and attended Little Rock University (now UALR). He proudly served his country in the U.S. Airborne Army. Charles retired from Lucent Technologies after 34 years of service.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals and the Arkansas Razorbacks.  He was a coach and the BBAA District Commissioner out of Little Oaks Ball Park in Mabelvale.
He was a faithful member of Northside Church of Christ in Benton.  Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Linda, of 45 years; his son, Chuck and wife Kristy; three grandchildren, Dylan, Faith and Ashlynn; his grand-dog, Oscar; and many extended family members and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Northside Church of Christ with Brother Chuck Ball and Brother Jim Gardner officiating.  Burial will be private.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills, 10200 Hwy 5 North in Alexander.
Memorials may be made to Northside Church of Christ Building Fund. 917 N. East St., Benton, AR 72015.
