Charles Kirkpatrick

Charles Kirkpatrick, 76, of Glen Rose passed away Nov. 15 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.  He was born Dec. 6, 1934, in Malvern, the son of Ted and Zona (King) Kirkpatrick.
Charles served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and retired from Missouri Pacific - Rock Island Railroad.
He has been the caretaker for Fairplay Cemetery for more than 20 years.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his brothers, Glen and Royce Kirkpatrick; and a sister, Vera Thacker.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Kirkpatrick; three daughters, Debra Jean Kirkpatrick of Hope, Donna Hogue of Glen Rose, Denise Davis and husband, Mark of Bryant; a brother, Kenneth Kirkpatrick of Glen Rose; a sister, Marguerite Baker of Arlington, Texas; his grandchildren, Carman and Andy Swart, Courtney and Coleman Thrash, Harmony and Clint Felts, Hayden Davis, and Cali Wright; a great-grandchild, Laine Swart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern with the Revs. Keith Holland and Kim Hammer officiating. Burial will follow at Fairplay Cemetery.
Hayden Davis, Clint Felts, Coleman Thrash and Andy Swart will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov.17, at the funeral home.
