Charles Thomas Long, 77, of Houston died Sunday, Nov. 20, at Riverview Manor in Morrilton. He was born March 6, 1934, in Paron.
Charles was retired from the Little Rock School District. He was preceded in death by his parents, James William and Lorine Hendrix Long.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Morris Long of Houston; three daughters, Charlene George of Abilene, Texas, Leola Gene Long of Roswell, N.M., and Roberta Long of Roswell, N.M.; three sons, Robert Long of Little Rock, Richard Long of Saline County and Leon Long of Saline County; two granddaughters, Christina Bohanan of Abilene, Texas, and Chasidy Distasio of Iowa; a brother, Jerry Long of Garland County; and a stepson, Leon Buckner of Roswell, N.M.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25. at Fowler Cemetery in Paron with the Rev. Arthur Blood officiaiting.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.Thursday, Nov. 24, at Ashby Funeral Home.
