Child struck by vehicle in Bryant

August 16, 2014

A three-year-old child has sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Bryant near Ridgecrest and North Streets.

Rumors that the vehicle was an ice cream truck are false, said Sgt. Todd Crowson, Bryant Police Department spokesperson.

“The child, whose name cannot be released, ran out into the street in front of a moving pickup when he was struck,” Crowson said.

The child was transported to Saline Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

The driver of the vehicle was not at fault for the accident and will not face any charges, he said.
