Christine Bennett, 84, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 15. She was born August 9, 1927 in Little Rock, to the late Christopher and Eula Mae Lawhon Rauch. She worked for St. Vincent in Telecommunications for 42 years were she retired and was a member and church clerk of Baseline Missionary Baptist for 48 years. Christine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whom loved to cook for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wallace Bennett and two brothers, George and Kenneth Rauch.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Bennett and wife, Pam of Little Rock and Grant Bennett and wife, Cecila of Lonsdale; grandchildren, Brandi Blaty (Erik), Brent Bennett (Dana), Brittany Bennett, Chris Bennett (Amanda), Ashlea Milburn (Michael); great-grandchildren, Braxton, Madalyn, Jackson and Ava; sister-in-law, Maxine Rauch, of Bryant; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, March 19 at Baseline Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Landmark Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, March 18 at the church. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
