County law enforcement banquet set for November

Saline County Prosecuting Attorney Ken Casady and his office will be hosting a banquet honoring Saline County law enforcement personnel.

Everett Buick GMC will serve as corporate sponsor for the event.

During the event, U.S. Attorney Chris Thyer of the Eastern District of Arkansas will be the featured speaker.
"Last year was a great event, and it is going to be even bigger and better this year," Casady said.

"Our sponsors helped show our law enforcement and their families a nice time," he said. "This dinner is a chance for my office and the community to show appreciation to law enforcement, and it is also a chance for the law enforcement community to enjoy fellowship and show appreciation for each other."

All law enforcement personnel serving Saline County — including officers, dispatchers, jail staff, and parole and probation officers — are invited to the event.

"We want to be sure to be inclusive," Casady said. "We did a good job of getting invitations out last year but if we missed any agency and someone didn't get one that should have gotten one, we want to remedy that this year," he said.

The 2013 event included dinner, entertainment by a local band, a photo booth and drawings for door prizes.
