Davey Lee Ramsey Sr.

Davey Lee Ramsey Sr, 81, of Benton, passed away Thursday, November 22.  He was born April 24, 1931 in Saline County.  Mr. Ramsey was retired from Reynolds Metal and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for 45 years. 
Mr. Ramsey was preceded in death by his parents, H.C. “Tonce” and Lorene Ramsey and a sister, Gwendolyn “Snooks” Rhoades.
He is survived by his wife, June E. Ramsey of Benton; son, Davey Lee Ramsey Jr. of Prairie Grove; two daughters, Deborah Ann Hochstetler of Colbert, Georgia and Lori Elizabeth Bowen of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 26 at Calvary Baptist Church with burial at New Friendship Cemetery.  Bro. Oscar Golden and Bro. Frank Thurman will be officiating.
Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. and open until 9 p.m. Sunday, November 25 at Ashby Funeral Home.
