David E. Earl

David E. Earl passed away March 20, 2014.
He was born Feb. 6, 1921, in New Milford, Conn., to Ivan H. and Grace (Shrack) Earl and was one of 14 children.
David made his home in Galliano, La., prior to moving to Benton in 2008. He served in the Navy and was a retired auto mechanic.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Bounds Earl; his son, John Earl; and sons-in-law Tom Roberson and Barney Sikes, as well as his brothers Ivan, Clifford, Doug, Lester, Nellis, Chester and Kenneth.
He is survived by two daughters, Sarah Sikes of Benton and Judy Roberson of Larose, La.
He leaves behind five grandchildren, Monica Liner, Darren Pitre, Wayne Charpentier, Bryan Charpentier, and Wendy Pitre; 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
His surviving siblings are Ethel Burch, Alice Clark, Jana, Larry, Richard and Robert Earl.
Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 23, at Corinth Baptist Cemetery in Purvis, Miss.
