Dean Lampkin

Dean Lampkin, 75, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 24.  He was born October 9, 1936 in Danville.  Mr. Lampkin was in sales and a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Eula Lampkin; two brothers, Lavon “Von” Lampkin and T. C. Lampkin and a sister, Levoy Lampkin.
He is survived by his wife, Lavon Lampkin of Benton; son, Marty Lampkin of Rhome, Texas; daughter, Denon Weaver of Monticello; three step-sons, Don Kesterson and wife, Carolyn, Delbert Kesterson and wife, Julie and Alan Kesterson all of Benton; four brothers, Damon Lampkin of Monticello, Lavell Lampkin of McGhee, Allie Lampkin of Murray, Kentucky and Farell Lampkin of McGhee; four granddaughters, Lindsy Lampkin of Monticello, Erika Lampkin of Texas, Chelsea Weaver and Jo Beth Weaver both of Monticello and a host of step-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 at Rowell Cemetery in Rison.  Bro. Doney Blackberry will be officiating.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27 at Ashby Funeral Home.
