Della Faye Pelton Lee

March 13, 2014

Della Faye Pelton Lee of Benton passed from this life into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Feb. 28, 2014.
She was 85. By grace she was saved, through faith alone in her Christ. Known simply as "Dib" to her five siblings and affectionately as "Nanny" to her four grandchildren, Della lived the life of a quiet servant, faithfully serving as a wife and mother of three and loving grandmother.
Her service went beyond the home, as well, where she worked as a RN for 40 years. Along with her servant's heart, she will be remembered for her perfect Christmas gifts to her grandchildren, her dry sense of humor, her delicious Southern cooking (world's greatest cornbread) and her love for gospel music and the preaching of God's word, most notably the ministry of Pastor John MacArthur at Grace to You, of which she was a long-time supporter.
Della is proceeded in death by her parents Marion and Rose Pelton; three siblings; and her husband, Lloyd Lee.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Pelton, and identical twin sister, Stella Earney; two daughters, Cathy Miller and Linda Sierk; her son, Lloyd "Sonny" Lee; four grandchildren, James Hilton, Joey Finnegan, Mac Hilton and Heather Holiman; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Holland Chapel Baptist Church in Benton.
